Joshua Stamp grew up on a small dairy farm in the Finger Lakes Region of New York State.  He graduated from Penn Yan Academy and attended Houghton College for both his Bachelors and Master’s degree.  He taught for one year at Johnstown High School and then moved to Northern New York to accept a teaching job at Calcium Primary School in the Indian River School district where he taught for 7 years.  After completing a degree in Educational Leadership from Stony Brook University he entered school administration at Gouverneur High School in March of 2014. At Gouverneur he served as the assistant principal for both the middle and high schools before the position was split into two and he was assigned full-time to the middle school in September of 2016. He left Gouverneur in July of 2017 and became the High School Principal at Beaver River.

Mr. Stamp lives outside Croghan, NY in a house he and his wife built.  He owns and operates Sterling Valley Maple with his wife and in-laws, and can often be found assisting on his in-laws dairy farm.  He is active in the Croghan Mennonite Church (where he leads worship) and enjoys a variety of hobbies with his wife and son.
